PUBLIC SPEAKING

Public speaking is actually speaking to a group of people in a structured, deliberate manner to inform, influence or entertain the listener. Self confidence, of course,  is the first thing that we need to have before doing such a public speaking.


  • 6 steps successful public speaking.

1.       Clarify the objective à purpose of the speech
2.       Analyze your audiences
3.       Collect and organize the information à use proper, reliable, trusted sources
4.       Choose your visual aids à interesting media to support speech
5.       Prepare your notes
6.       Practice your delivery à choose particular partner to hear your speech

1.       Lack of confidence à avoid your nervous
2.       Lack of attention of the audiences à use gestures, make eye contact and show expression
3.       Lack of organization à make well-used of notes, medias and resources
4.       Lack of preparedness à create your own question
5.       Lack of time management

  • How to avoid nervous

1.       Practice in front of the mirror. Look at yourself, how you deliver a speech, then note down some points that you are lacking of.
2.       Try to fix your weakness.
3.       If you are going blank, make room for some improvements.
4.       Well-prepared.
5.       Try to get to know a complete stranger until you got his/her phone number. Once you got it, then your confidence are proven! Lol


Mayoritas orang biasanya bisa public speaking karena dipaksa oleh keadaan. Contoh, ketika harus presentasi di depan kelas, memberi sambutan, atau menjadi pembicara dalam sebuah event. Jadi, pada dasarnya setiap orang itu memiliki kemampuan untuk tampil di depan umum dengan baik. Orang yang awalnya tidak bisa berbicara dengan lancar di depan umum akan berubah menjadi lancar apabila ia terus berlatih. Tidak ada yang tidak mungkin di dunia ini. Hal apapun bisa kita lakukan asalkan kita disiplin dan konsisten untuk sering berlatih.
